About us
Bargoed Town Council serves the residents of Aberbargoed, Bargoed and Gilfach. The Council is split into four wards with the additional ward of the Park Estate. At the 2011 census there were circa 12,000 residents of the Greater Bargoed Area.
There are 13 Members of Bargoed Town Council.
The Council currently employs two part time members of staff. One in the combined role of Clerk/RFO and one in the combined role of Deputy Clerk/Deputy RFO.
Bargoed Town Council are fortunate to benefit from the support of a few volunteers who help the Council deliver several community activities and well-being events such as maintaining the Community Orchard on the Park Estate, caring for the food growing area and fruit trees in Yew Street/Cwrt Coch Street Park in Aberbargoed; putting out remembrance poppy displays; supporting with community gardening initiatives and a variety of other small scale projects across the four ward areas.
